Glock P80

Call me a fashion victim, I bought one of these, didn’t think they would be imported here in Switzerland

I like the non-railed dust cover… liked it so much that I got a 34 Gen 3 to make a unique 34.

And look… a 17 Gen 3 magically appeared.

Am not into Glocks one bit, but kudos to Glock for making that pistol. Very cool.

It's actually a better gun than the original P80. Glock learned a few things between making the initial pistols and releasing this commemorative.

I got one when they first came out. I collect military firearms and I figured it was about as close as I will ever get to the real deal.

It's kind of the same thing with the M9, while actual military issue M9's turn up from time to time, I either miss out when one becomes available, or they tend to be expensive. What I did was collect all USGI parts for one with the exception of the frame and then put them on a commercial M9.

GI slide, barrel, guide rod and recoil spring:

Mix in a GI hammer and grip panels:

And a dozen or so NOS GI contract magazines:

Then add them to a M9 frame and shake well:
