The A.J. Aubrey

I have come across an meriden fire arms co The A.J. Aubrey 12g double barrel shotgun it has the laminated steel barrel and a few numbers stamped on the gun which i believe is the serial number but it does not match up with any of the serial numbers i have found on another site. Is this the serial number or were can i find the serial number on this gun i am trying to track down the year that this gun was made. I know they were made between 1905 and 1915. Any help or info would be great. thanks

Greetings FFOFFROAD, and welcome aboard,

Yes, 6577 is the serial number and T30 is the code for a 30-inch twist barrel.
Is the 6577 repeated on the barrel and receiver?
Does it have external hammers or is it hammerless? Both were made at the time of your gun.
Is it marked: with Meriden Firearms Co.?
A.J. Aubrey worked for Parker Brothers in his early days. Later, with Sears and Robuck, he convinced them that making their own guns would be more profitable than subbing them out. Around 1905 they purchased a factory, and Aubrey (a Sears VP) formed the Meridan Firearms Co.
