Charter .44 Bulldog Grips

I found a gunsmith to make my custom grips and the gun is now done:
Magnaport
Polished: Trigger-Hammer- Ejection Rod-Flutes-Screw Heads
Satin Finished
Hawaiian Hou Wood Grips
Irish Harp crest inset
Winthrop IWB tuckable holster

SWEET!

I like it. Mine is stainless with Pachmayr’s.
I’d like to see a close up of the crest, looks like he did a nice job. Don’t know how much porting will help but it would be interesting to shoot mine then yours.
Don’t see many people doing that to the dog, but it’s nice to see people that like the design like I do and put that kind of work into one.

Nice. Very nice. Especially those wood grips. Really that is the only thing I don't care for on mine is the rubber baby buggy bumpers....

that holster doesn't look like its made for that gun, the cylinder section is judge sized.....

that is pretty sweet. I bought a bulldog this year and i use it as my primary carry... i just like the way it feels... Mine is the stock rubber grips. yours is a thing of beauty

That's a beauty PetahW. I think the Bulldog is the best carry revolver. It's not too big, yet packs plenty of punch.

Many years ago (1987-ish), a stranger out at the range let my shoot a cylinder's worth from his. I enjoyed shooting it. It was also the one and only time I took my father to the range, and he got to shoot it too. In fact, I think my dad liked it better than my gun lol.

Might as well add my old dog.
The expended bullets were silvertips when they first came out and you can see the year on the box.
30 years ago (photo was taken last year).
This was a prime carry gun for 20 years which you can tell from the beat up holster.
How many rounds? No idea but it’s still tight on lockup and never failed.

I have an old dog too. It came with pretty wooden grips, but I changed them to the rubber baby buggy bumpers. Not nearly as pretty, but a lot more comfortable to shoot.

I don't think the Bulldog is about being pretty in the traditional sense. It's "beauty" is in what it is: a functional, compact, yet powerful revolver; with the perfect barrel length, I might add.

It may only be beautiful to us purists ;p
