What do these revolvers have in common?

It's sad that I only have one Colt with a 5" barrel.

None have full length underlugs? I'm guessing it's probably not something that obvious though. Plus a few don't have any at all. I give up.

They fire bullets. 6 in total before a reload.

If not that, then I'm out of ideas...

They're all double-action revolvers?

At least for the Smiths, I wouldn't bet that all
the barrels are 5 inches. Smith was notorious for
installing barrels an eighth or quarter inch
over or an eighth to quarter inch short. Occasionally
a sixteenth of inch variance also creeped in.

Unless SaxonPig measures all of them from the very
back edge of the forcing cones to the tippy tip front
end, I won't be a believer. He should report back.

That's the long and the short of the display.

They all have so many features in common that it might be shorter to answer what they don't have in common.

5" barrels?

All unloaded?

They're all old?

Great collection.

Too big for my hand. All Smith K frames except the 2" 19/66 are too big for my hand.

They need to be redistributed to the poor until they have nothing in common.

No idea. Not Single Actions that's for sure.

Geeze . . . this is so simple I feel like I'm back in 1st grade again!

What do they all have in common? Anybody can see it if they look hard enough . . . the answer is that none of them are made by Taurus!

Do I get a gold star for having the right answer? :-)

A nice looking herd you have there Saxon! Very nice!

I have always been attracted to 5" revolvers. On some models that's no problem. Others...impossible.

The first photo is a pair of 44 Specials. The others are 38s and one 357.

Two are police marked (the nickel 27-2 and the Colt).
