holster material
i'm planning on making my own belly band style holster, combo with a kydex body like a comptac. i'm looking for a padded backing material that would still be flexible. kinda like neoprene, but go to thinking it wouldn't probably be the best for sweat. Anybody know of anything like that i could use? leather is out to stiff not enough padding.

Horsehide. Properties similar to leather, but much softer.

I suppose you could use chamois, too, but I would guess that if much perspiration is involved you're going to want something that wicks it away? You might look at a neoprene foam with a couple of layers of polypropylene boot sock liner over top of it? There are several commercial padding technologies that claim to breath if you can adapt one of them to the holster? This one is for sports clothing. This other one is a saddle pad maker, but they might tell you how they do it, if you ask?
