Nickel 25-2

I recently bought a S&W Model 25-2 nickel plated revolver. Can anyone tell me how many of this model were nickel plated?

Thanks

I'm not sure if that information is even available other than possibly through the factory, and even they may not know.

The nickle plated 25s were regularly offered for quite a few years, so the number is probably pretty substantial.

And Fjestad's blue book shows no premium for 25-2 in Nickle. That would also indicate to me that quite a few were produced with nickle finish.

Barbeque or courtin gun. With the good hat and clean boots.

BBQ gun MAYBE, given the high acid content of some BBQ sauces.

But a courting gun?

You NEVER show up at a "target's" house with a shiny gun. It's gaudy, and gives the target's father the impression that you're a dandy just looking for the quick score.

A deep, rich blue conveys a sense of formality, and more importantly, indicates that you have a serious, stable, nature.

I thought a Bar-B-Q gun or courtin' gun was a fully engraved nickeled N Frame with ivory pouncing cougar grips with inlaid ruby eyes housed in a flower carved buscadero style rig.
