Extar EP9 Pistol

Picked up one of these just several weeks back now and I have no regrets to be sure. I love the fact that it's such a small, compact lightweight package that will accept Glock Mags of which I have a ton for both pistols and a Sub2000. Prior to purchasing the EP9 my favorite PCC was the Kel-Tec Sub2000 of which I've had for close to twenty years now and still going strong. Yet this new EP9 package is so nice in terms of fit, finish and until now durability after ten boxes of a variety of 9mm ammo that my Sub2K may take a back-seat... Gotta say for the price/performance ratio it's hard to beat. Size/maneuverability makes it an ideal choice as well for either home defense and or a truck-gun. Loads of fun times at the range with this baby!

Check it out if not already familiar:

Their 5.56 pistols got a lot of love from their owners, but were completely ignored by everyone else.

I've got to say the price is right, especially for including a brace. I'd be awfully tempted if I could see one in person.

Greetings folks, I have been looking at this and it is really an interesting firearm.. I read the manual, and it mentions refraining from using lubricants on it, and running it dry... can you pass on any info about this? sounds a bit odd.... also, in looking at the lack of a feed ramp, I wonder about running HP ammo, has anyone done that, and does it feed ok?

At the current web site price of $419, I've been giving this one some thoughts. Interested to hear any more feedback from owners or responses to the questions floidb posted above.

Thanks!
