Identify old rifle stock
My father had an old stock laying around and wondered if I wanted it, so of course I took it. Now, I'm just trying to figure out what it is. It looks similar to a Mauser 98, but some details are off. Mainly the notch for the bolt handle. It seems to share some characteristics of an Arisaka, but I can't find any pics that match completely.
The hole in the plate on the stock is hinged. The number on the stock is 05870

First pic showed the safety cutout of an SKS.
That was kind of fun!
