Beretta 92 Compact Mainspring Help

I have a Beretta 92 compact that I would like to smooth the trigger and replace the mainspring. I can't seem to remove the roll pin which holds the mainspring "block" at the base of the grip. It's a good laugh but what am I missing. I don't think the "block" presses in like the full size 92?? Can someone straighten me out please?
