A minimum of 5 per firearm. 1 loaded in the firearm, 2 loaded spares, and 2 unloaded for the range.

Sig P228R - Factory Mags x2 (13 rds)
Glock 30 - Factory Mags x2 (10 rds)
Stag-15 - Factory Mag x1 (10 rds) Magpul Mags x3 (30rds)

In other words...not enough...

Generally I would like to carry one mag in the weapon + 2 in a mag carrier.

The exception being my Stag -15, where if I have to worry about carrying mags something has gone HORRIBLY wrong, and if that's the case my vest can accomodate 8 30rd magazines.

4 Minimum for my pistols. I have 9 for my G23. I have about a dozen or so AR mags. Mostly Pmags and surplus. For my pistols I try to buy factory mags except my beretta - Mecgar.

Four for off duty guns. Well, everything I have is off duty now. But, I had six for my G35 and USP9. Three on me and three in my bag. I don't carry all those, though. Not really a point.

I've gone "mag-crazy" a couple times and finally realized I was approaching the MSRP of the gun in mags.

Minimum of 3 if it's a carry gun (1 in gun, 2 reloads).

For the rest, as many as seems practical. I like to have at least 2 per gun, but for the expensive ones, or those I seldom shoot, I'm ok with just 1.

There are a few guns I have been meaning to pick up a few more mags for...

Peter M. Eick ...

What are the drawer demensions on that array? Where do you sorce it?

Right now, I'm using Rubbermaid Sterilite modular drawers similar to this.

Available at Wally-world for about $4. It comes in 3-drawers sets and each drawer measures approximately 6"w x 10"d x 2.5"t

I have zip-tied the stacks together and to the shelf they rest on. They are quite stable.

I've been searching for somingthing like a library card file or a microfiche file, but not having a lot of luck at my price point.

I have one extra for one pistol, two extra for the other (had to buy one). But I also have about a dozen magazines for guns I no longer have. A few clips, too.

Too many to count. I belive in a minimum of 10 per gun, but I have many more. I probably have 50 or so factory glock mags in 9mm and .40, and 40 AR15 pmags. The glock mags with the restricted markings remind me as to why I have collected so many.
