Springfield XDM 9 Compact- perfect ccw?
I've looked six ways from Sunday at this gun and can't see it as perfect. I am
definitely getting one ASAP! Just thought I'd put this out there.

'Course he can't see it as perfect.
It is obviously not a Glock So I just yesterday got a holster for my XDm 3.8 Compact. It may become a regular carry gun. I like it quite a bit. And I'm not sure why. It is only a tad larger, in some dimensions, than my S&W M&P9 Compact. It does not feel as "it fits like it just grew there" in my hand as the M&P does, but has a better trigger pull. It has a slightly higher bore axis than the M&P. I don't know if I will be able to tell the difference in muzzle rise in the 9mm guns. Are you going to get the 2-tone version, ccwnut? I did. My shooting partner who's been carrying for 20 years didn't think so. He's used some fine pistols in the past but feels the one he has now is the very best, the Ruger SR9c and I have the SR9 which I believe is easily carried. Check both out before you pay XDm money. After 300 rounds fired you'll have the best stock trigger I've ever experienced with a poly-framed striker-fired pistol.

I'm sorry I am also lost by OPs wording.
I personally love XDMs. I know there is no such thing as a perfect gun but the XDM comes closer than most.

The new XDs in 9mm is perfect. Best concealed gun I've ever handled.

XD-S just don't have as nice of triggers as XDMs, played with a few XD-S, just don't like them. I'll stick to XDM.

I've had Compact 3.8's in .45 and 9mm. They are the 2nd best that I've found for carry. Loved 'em, but alas, I've found a couple even better.....a CZ 75 Compact PCR D and an alloy Rami 9. I'd love to have that .45 again, though.
