Rainier Bullets
I am interested in testing some of these bullets. Their web site says to load them the same as lead cast. Anyone have any experience with them, good, bad, indifferent. I usually shoot lead but in my Ruger Blackhawk Convertible, they say to not use lead in the 9mm cylinder, due to possible slicing of the lead. I am considering loading some of the Rainier bullets for the task? Comments..........ck

Back when I use to reload, I used them all the time because I hated the leading of the tube I would get when ever I used lead rounds. Just loaded them like any other jacket bullets, never had an issue with them.

As long as you keep the velocity under 1,300 feet per second, you will be OK. |

I use Rainier 180 grain FP in my 40 cal.I load them with 6.2 grains of power pistol and a cci small pistol primer.I have not had one malfuntion yet and they seem to be consistant in terms of accuracy.I have shot hundreds of them and will continue to use them.

Shot a bunch in my 45, as accurate as any thing else, WWB, Magtec.... Now I just load jacketed. The price went up on the rainiers to almost the same as fmj.
