luminescent sights for Saiga

We have this really cool Saiga and even thou we can't physically put tritium on it, we are using luminescent pigment to create "enhanced ghost sights"

Like the case of this Saiga:

This semiautomatic shotgun is an amazing tool with an AK 47's action

However like we can see on this photo, the iron sights cannot be replaced or tritium can be added:

What do we need for this job: Phosphorescent pigment, a small square of Glow-On luminescent self adhesive, a Xacto knife, a small ruler and transparent colorless nail polish.

First we measure the rear sight to cut out our rear sight application

Here the Self Adhesive is part of the rear sight, the pigment has been applied to the front sight already.

A few seconds of light with our $3.00 led lamp and we have an idea of what we can expect:

Here is what we our eye will see:

Why did we do it? Simply because we can, it adds a functionality, it doesn't hinder the weapon's ability to function, because it's affordable and who knows, we might have to go out after some varmint in the middle of the night.

Is this application compatible with the use of a flashlight technique? absolutely, with the right training, this specific weapon allows for the addition of a tactical lamp on its rails.
