Saw an interesting revolver - a Chicago Police Department "125 years of service" commemorative. It's in a presentation box with a star carved into the top with the dates "1855 - 1980." The revolver (a Model 66-1) seems to be unfired. I haven't found any history on this commemorative, and was wondering how many were produced, what the current value is, etc. Any ideas?

Give me until this evening when I get home to where my S&W books are.
S&W did a LOT of police commemoratives over the years.

Hank,
Sorry, no information in my sources on how many of the Chicago Police commemoratives were made.

Mike,
Thanks for looking. Hmmm . . . maybe it's a rather uncommon commemorative? |
