Scopes on Pre-War Model 70's

Three Model 70's
1958 .270 Win. FWT in the rear (with the plastic butt plate) 1955 .243 Win. FWT in the middle
1949 ,257 Roberts:

The .270 shows that it was fielded, and it now wears a well-used, but not abused, Leupold Mountaineer 4X:

The 1949 .257 Roberts has a 1949 Weaver K2.5 with solid Weaver rings:

The .243 is in like new condition, and a like new Mountaineer is on the way!

You Sir, have some beautiful rifles there.

I really like the Weaver K2.5 on the .257 Rbts.

I like the Classic Weaver K-4's for my Winchesters, Weaver and Winchester, especially older ones just seem to go together.

Again, congrats on your rifles.

I also collect Model 70's.

Here is one I gave my son on his 21st birthday.

If I were to keep them original, (you'd kill me to see the original ones I've ripped apart for the action) I'd have a Lyman Alaskan somewhere around.
