Extended safety for Ruger 22/45

I'm seriously considering purchasing a new Ruger MIII 22/45 Lite model pistol in the near future.
My main uses for the gun will be range work and rabbit hunting. Target shooting is not a problem, but I am concerned with the smallish size of the safety switch when wearing gloves in the winter.

I have seem Volquarz makes an extended safety.

Does anyone have experience with this mod, or are there other options to consider?

Or you can cheap out and use a tire stem cover.
Those little black things that screw on the stems and always get lost in the gravel.
Perfect diameter, at least for a MK2.
