If you think those things are important to you, I got no quarrel with you. I don't, that's all.
Well, hope I didn't come off as "quarreling". Sorry if I did.

It is all just personal preference, and I was just stating mine. I know many, like yourself, who don't care about the LCI, mag disconnect, internal lock, and actually prefer the new mag release placement also.

It is your money but ......

I bought a Mark III 22/45 Hunter model with 6 inch bull barrel in SS a year ago for $450 out the door from my lgs.

Like many of the other posters' I think it is 350-400 OVERPRICED.

Oh no. Not at all. I should have put the word "quarrel" in quotes. I meant it kind of tongue in cheek.

No problem at all here.

I don't know your location, but that's way too much for that gun. You need to shop on-line, you'll find the same gun or a better one for almost half that amoun.

Yeah, it was online.

But I found something else local. I was under some time constraints since my wife needs a 22 semiauto for her CCL class. The only 22 semiauto I own is my S&W M41. The last time she borrowed my truck she brought it back with a big dent in it and she didn't know how it happened.

I didn't want to lend her my M41, but I found this locally.

I've noticed that some folks are throwing book value out the window when it comes to MKII's and I've personally seen standard 5.5" bull barreled MKII 22/45's priced as high as $450. Figure the dealers are willin to sit on it till the "right" buyer that hates the MKIII features comes along. Not me, probably not you, but it only takes one.

That gun the OP referenced is very nice, probably worth a premium and maybe worth more than a comparable NIB MKIII model. Not "worth" by the book mind you but by actual market conditions. But not $750.
