Sig P220 Slide Exchange Kit

Anyone have experience with the Sig P220 Caliber exchange kits? Specifically I have a West German P220 45 acp made in 1986 I'd really like to put the CALX-220C-45-BSS compact kit slide on. Having a carry length slide on my non railed full size frame; too good to be true?

Not sure I get that one. Do you carry OWB? Otherwise all you're doing is shortening the part that is concealed anyway.

IIRC the x-change kit will not properly fit the older frame.
