410 slug moulds
trying to find a mould for 410 slugs 1/4 1/5 oz. .but cant seem to find what im looking for if you can help please let me know.

Might sound like one of those now why didn't I think of it ideas or maybe one from way out in right field, but why wouldn't a standard bullet mold work, in say a round flat nosed type possibly being a tumble lube groove, or would it even matter?
I mean as long as you sized it properly and cast it using pure lead what would be the actual difference other than the shape? Do you think it would have to be hollow based to work properly? If you have one that you could pull, you could probably go over to Mountain Molds and design your own then simply use it to pour up all you need.

I am thinking it would need to be a sabboted slug if it were smaller with a sabbot it might just work.. Though I never looked into casting slugs. I have an old Mosberg .410 that was a birthday gift from my dad when I was 9 (27 years ago
 ) I still shoot clays with it. I have put slugs out of it. I still have a couple of boxes of them. With popularity of the revolvers like the Judge, and Governor I would think that someone somewhere is casting .410 slugs. I saw one load that guy was shooting that was like a swagged wadcutter. They shot well out of a public defender. Note I cast for a .41 Magnum. My Lee 210 grain Tumble Lube SWC mold drops at about .411 with standard wheel weight alloy.

Have never seen a slug mold for a 410. But if your not opposed to shooting R.ball from your 410. Ballistic Products here in MN sell a ball/ sabot combo for 410 ga. I use them myself for yard varmints. There fun to shoot. Sabots are made for 2-1/2" hulls. But I relaod them into 3" with an extra over powder wad from Circle Fly Wads. (click links enclosed)
