Some people mentioned Swiss rifles.

Have any of you guys watched Youtube videos titled "420 yards", done by a guy in so. CA?

He also used a Swiss K-31 to hit a gong at 1,000 yards, with 'iron sights'.
Try searching "1,000 yard Swiss" etc, and tell us what you observe.
You can hear a few bullets hit the gong.

He even zooms from the small gong back to his position, and also traces it with Googlearth.

Just because it's a C&R forum doesn't mean most C&R qualified firearms are milsurps...
Depends on whether you're counting type or just number of units. 'Types' might be close to 50-50. 'Number of units' - well, it's hard to complete with the sheer number of what's now military surplus produced by government arsenals during warfare.
No matter how big and tough you are, when a two-year-old hands you a toy phone you'll answer it.
