FNP-40 Rattle

I appologize if this has already been addressed. I serached the forum but didn't find anything.

I have an FNP-40. I love it. I shoot it well, it's accurate, and seems pretty durable and tough. I love the way it handles, and feels.

One issue though, I can hear the rounds rattling in the magazine.... but only when I load all 14, or 10. I don't hear a rattle with 13 rounds. It doesn't appear to affect the functioning of my pistol, it has yet to fail to chamber or fire a round with any of the magazines I have. there's no difficulty whatsoever loading or dropping mags.

Is this normal, or did I get some old mags?

It's fairly normal.

I have semi-autos that will do it.

It's just how the rounds sit when they're loaded into the magazine. Some of them are firmly held by others and the spring pressure, while others, for whatever reason, become free to pivot back and forth.

Your all good buddy!

My USP .45 and glock 19 do the same thing.

Just make sure the rounds are seated to the rear when loading them

Normal for the FNP 40. It is a super pistol, enjoy it.

If it is any comfort. Most premium self defense ammo comes in 20 round boxes these days so buy two. Load up one mag to full and chamber a round, then fill up your other two mags to 13 rounds each and you are rattle free and there are no extras left over.

My FNP .45 came with one 14 round mag and two 15 round mags, and does it too. And I absolutely LOVE this gun! A hi capacity .45 with a polymer frame that shoots as accurately as my 1911's, whats not to love?
