can we have an off topic area?

I know this is a gun forum, and this may be stupid, but every other forum that I belong to has an off topic section where people can talk about different things. Although I love guns, I think it would be nice to have an option to not.
And no, I don't want to go to a different forum :-(

I think if we did have an off topic area the posts from it should have an individual search and new posts function, so that people don't have to dig through crap to get what they lookin for

It's not going to happen. This has been brought up many times and always comes down to this:

In a word, no.

Well, mine's reinforcement, then.
