why is it so common to compare the marlin model 60 with the ruger 10/22 ?
they are so different, why is it not common to compare the marlin 795 to the ruger 10/22 as they are much more equivalent in function and price. |

Used 10/22
I would suggest used 10/22 rifles with mettle trigger guards. Ruger has cheapened them to plastic parts now. They are a good design that is easy to fix and tinker with. Marlins have their following, but I would avoid the savage as they are a rather crude design. 10/22s just plain work and that's why they are so popular. rc

10/22 is my first choice but the Marlin Model would be in 2nd or 3rd place.

I've never even SEEN a 795, though at least one specimen of each of the 2 others seem to appear at every range trip.
