non-resident CT carry permit
Since my brother recently moved to New Haven, I am thinking about applying for a non-resident CT carry permit.
In researching the CT permit system, I've gathered that although it is not a "shall issue" state, it could be considered a "usually issue" state. I have received the application packet from the state police, and one question on the application asks "reason for permit." Can anybody advise me what answer seems to work? |

I said "Target shooting and transporting firearm to and from the range." I'm not sure how it works for the non-resident permit but for a resident you have to be approved locally first, then the state permit is a formality. It's much easier to get approved in some localities than others.
