Shotshell reloading info needed

I have aquired 3 cans of Alcan AL-8. My dad and I used to load dove loads with this powder but have long since lost the loading data. I am looking to load 1 1/8 ounce loads in 2 3/4 inch plastic federal shells. I can find load data on 3 inchers but nothing on 2 3/4.
Would any of you fine gentlemen happen to have load data for this particular powder? I really hate to destroy this powder as it was an awesome powder.

Alcan 8 is a magnum powder, not usefull in a 1 1/8 ounce load. It was intended for 2 3/4 inch baby magnums or the 3" mags. A payload of less than 1.5 ounces would not be enough resistance to allow that slow burning powder to combust.

I could certainly be mistaken on the shot charge, it may have been an ounce and a half. I believe the last time we used any AL-8 was in the early eighties. I do know that you can dang near clean a dove at 30 yards with one if you hit it dead on!

What calibers/bullet weights are you interested in?

I would be interested in 9mm any weight, 357 mag in 125 grain or 158 grain, 44 mag any weight or 270 winchester.

I did run across load data for some 2 3/4 12 gauge but it calls for Flite-Max wads. Obviously those wads are no longer available either. Does anyone know if there is a substitute for Flite Max wads? I am one of those people that just hates to throw anything out if I can possibly use it.

I have nothing listed for 9mm or .270.

.357 mag Speer manual no. 8; 158 lead start 12.0 max 13.0....125 jsp start 14.0 max 16.0.

.357 mag Lyman Pistol & Revolver Handbook (first edition) 125 jsp start 10.7 max 13.1..... 158 jhp start 9.1 max 11.2.....They also list it for several lyman cast bullets from 121 gr. to 168 gr. Let me know if you want these as they vary by mold number.

.44 mag Speer; 180 jsp start 22.0 max 23.0.....225 jswchp start 18.0 max 20.0.....240 jswc start 18.0 max 20.0 (I didn't typo, the book lists the same loads for both bullets and gives different velocities.)

.44 mag Lyman; 200jhp start 16.0 max 20.5.....225 hjhp start 14.4 max 18.6.....240 jhp start 14.0 max 18.2.....265 jfp start 13.4 max 17.5.....Again they have loads for 3 of their cast bullets from 232 gr to 245 gr, let me know.
