Is there such a thing? And if so does anybody know who might make one?

Yes, there is such a thing. The last time that I saw one was at a local gun show, and I'm kicking myself everyday for not forking over the money for it. Thanks for reminding me! I have an old Handloaders Digest from '77 that shows one in use. Unfortunately it dosen't say who made it.
I called Cabela's, because someone said that they have them, but their latest shooting catalog dosen't show one. Tom ------------------ A "Miss" is the ultimate overpenetration! |

I use the Corbin and cannelure every bullet that I reload for .400 Cor-Bon. (Maybe Corbin is the "Cor" from Cor-Bon?) I was referred to Corbin by Peter Pi, owner of Cor-Bon.
A friend uses the C-H tool and likes it, also. The Corbin tool is very well made, costs around $60, shipped, and works on every size bullet from .224 to .458. Produces really professional-looking cannelures. |

C-H Tool Corbin Tool Lock, Stock, & Barrel sells the CH Tool & Die Cannelure Tool. I bought one last year, but returned it for a refund. IMO it didn't work very well with jacketed bullets. Would put a very nice cannelure on lead bullets, though. Will probably try a Corbin tool and see it it works any better. It looks like their design lets you put more leverage on the cutting wheel. -- Kernel |

You're right about the Corbin tool. I'm canneluring fmj and plated bullets. I can do a bullet about every three seconds. I'm glad you posted the picture of the C-H tool. Makes me happy that I picked the Corbin. |
