Use the same powder charge as for jacketed bullets and you'll be fine.

speer #13 says 125gr lead round nose with w231 powder: 3.8 to 4.1 grains.
will stay under 1000 fps.

I have used 5.0 grains and I have used it in a M3 grease gun, it worked fine. I have used even higher charges with no problems in a MP40

Load

Russ;
In general, a cast or lead bullet can use the same load as a jacketed bullet, of the same weight.
Usually, the cast or lead bullet will develope lower pressures as the jacketed bullets are harder to push through the bore and develope more back pressure and also velocity, reason cast and lead bullet loads often use a slightly faster powder for the same velocity as jacketed bullets of the same weight.
Example, my .35 Whelen, 200gr Rem. psp, 40gr Varget, 1920fps, 214gr rn gc , 40gr Varget, 1730fps, but 40gr IMR 4198 with the 214gr rn gc gives 2380fps.

9mm with a 124 grain LRN.

Hodgdon # 27 recommends:
3.3 grain WW 231 as a starting point
4.0 grains WW231 as a max load
Primer Winchester SP
COL is listed at 1.169 Max.

Take Care
