I've now read in one vendors site where the Mossberg 835 mag tubes are a tad longer than others and that one must use "one length shorter than normal" (the whole paragraph in the site was oddly worded) to stay behind the muzzle.

I dunno. Hoping to hear from somebody whose done it.
