Not made by Colt... just Colt branded... made by Umarex.
The GSG version is rebranded by other companies Like Sig.
I would get the GSG as its cheaper.
I think they are all made of Zamak... a zinc alloy. It works but any casting flaws can cause cracks.
The Rock Island version is steel or aluminum, but is milled out to make it lighter.
There are a lot of 22 choices... some good, some bad... research any choices you are considering.
