I have read several places that a .204 barrel will outlast a .22-250 by a good bit. Those 4000+ loads are hard on the barrels of both calibers for sure. But I've never shot anything I own enough to wear the barrel out, and may never. I cant afford to shoot enough to wear anything out right now anyway
