If your reason for trying a cast bullet in the 9mm is to reduce expense, have you taken a look at Precision Delta bullets? You can get the Precision Delta 9MM 124gr JHP for $86 per thousand including shipping. I tried 100 of them and I think they are very good and accurate bullets, with a real jacket, not plated, so you can push them to higher velocities than the cast bullets. I just bought another 1,000 of them. If you order only 1,000, they charge an extra $5, so total cost is $91. If you order 2,000, there is no additional charge, so it is truly free shipping.
