Both the S&W and Springfield are great guns. My Springfields will no BS shoot sub-2" at 50 yards with the right load. There are many custom .45s that will not. Shooters will tell you what the builder said it will do and maybe even show a test target but watch what happens when you ask them to demonstrate at 50 while you watch.
