In .40, I also own a CZ75B duotone, Taurus PT100, Star Firestar, and an FNH FNS-40.

My choice for a new .40 today would be the M&P 2.0 or the FNS-40. Then, maybe the Glock.
As mentioned before, the 4006 is available in good condition at my LGS for $399.
