My Rem Model 700, originally purchased in 1968, won't group under an inch with anything but Hornady 150gr SP and H4831. Just being nostalgic, that was my first rifle, so I bought my last rifle and it's a new .270 Rem Model 700 stainless. It won't group anything but Hornady 140gr SST, with H4831. My son has a Winchester Featherweight Model 70 in .270 and it won't group anything but Speer 130gr Flat Base(and not boat tail) with RE22.
I mention all this just in case you can't get anywhere with 150gr bullets.
