I guess the best question for me to ask is has anyone
thinned a slide and how much can you take.
I've seen slides with the tops flattened or ribbed and that
is more material than I'll need to remove to get the lettering
out.
I've also seen "high power" reliefs that are also deeper than I
require but not nearly as long.
