It's OK. There are actually two different sets of instructions in the instructions. The first set is for the initial sizing of brass that has not been sized in an x-die yet. The brass does need to be trimmed after that first sizing to 0.020" under the max case length. After that first sizing and trimming, then you re-set the mandrel as in the second set of instructions and you won't have to trim any case so prepared anymore. When you get more cases that you haven't sized with the x-die before you have to go through the process with them. easy to get them mixed up.
