I have one of the first Gen4 G19's made (July 2010 test fire date). It came with all of the "bad" parts in it (0-3 spring, old ejector, etc.) yet it worked perfectly. Once the upgraded parts came out I put them in regardless just to have my pistol up to the latest specs..... and guess what? Erratic ejection and brass to the face! I promptly put the old parts back in and everything was fine again. Go figure.
