My guess is that the 209 shotshell primer residue isn't corrosive or else everyone's shotgun bore would become corroded, and basically we all know that's not the case.
It's a good idea to treat 777 as if it was corrosive because if it's able to absorb moisture from the air, then the two together could cause corrosion over time.
Moisture can do it all by itself, but 777 residue probably acts like a catalyst.
