The purpose of language -- and words -- is to communicate. I'm 77 years old and I've been shooting for approximately 67 of those 77 years. I have never before encountered either of those terms. Whether you consider them to be slang, jargon, or something else, if you use them and most of your audience has no idea what you are talking about -- communication has failed.
