Hhmmm....I'll be interested in your opinion re: the trigger pull on the Springfield after you get a chance to play with it for awhile. I've never held one, much less been able to evaluate the trigger. I've spent some time on the XD forum and did some reading about the competition model. Lots of folks that purchased them felt they needed to put in a aftermarket trigger. Everything else I've read suggests it's a very nice pistol.--Patrice
