My friend’s Magpul Gen 2 PMAGs are are having an issue, and as you can see in the photos, the second round in the magazine cants upward. The bullets can be put into this position simply by inserting the magazine, and he didn’t seem to be slamming the PMAGs in with any excessive force. I did not see these PMAGs in action on the range, but when the charging handle is racked all the way and released the result is a double feed. My primary concern is that this issue should not exist. My friend says he has been storing these PMAGs upside down with the dust covers on. I checked his Gen 3 PMAG and the bullets would not readily be put in this position; however, I pull second bullet into the position like in the photos of the Gen 2 PMAGs fairly easily. Have any of you guys seen this issue before? If so, have the PMAGs functioned normally in your experience? Are there ways to prevent it?
