From my understanding it's been roughly two decades since they stopped being imported. I did some research but couldn't find a sufficient answer sadly since many of the threads I found dated back to 2009 or older.

So my question is, how hard would it be to find an old FNC that has not been converted to being select fire with the registered sears, and how much it would go for? There is one on GB, but I believe they want something upwards to 6-7k for it. Yikes!

I eventually would like to get its big brother the FN FAL, but it would be cool to have them as a pair.
