The "Sureshot" model was made by Cooey Firearms of Canada from 1948 to 1961. It was a store brand for Sears Roebuck Co. in Canada.
Please note that "Sureshot" is a trade name owned by Remington Arms Co.
I doubt that there is any remote connection to your gun.
