I moved away from the city about 40+ years ago for reasons like this.
To answer:
my back yard;
a private club range about and hour from my house, $30.00 a year;
a semi-public range about two hours from my house, $1.00 a day;
a public range about an hour from my house, free.
I don't like the public one even though it is the best facility. It is open to any kind of yokel. Too many shooting there with no sense of range courtesy or safety. If it were legal and I wouldn't go to hell, I would shoot these jerks.
My backyard is fun and convenient but the way I have it set up is only 35 yards.
