I am sure other calibers will follow. It wouldn't surprise me if other mag wells also followed. The receiver is aluminum, meaning the lock-up is almost certainly bolt into barrel. Should be able to make that work for almost any pistol caliber.
6.8lbs does seem a bit heavy for a pistol carbine.
A little surprised they didn't use and RAP or Security 9 pistol.
Especially with an allen screw to adjust rear sight.
