There REALLY are NO drop in parts. A handgun is a system of moving parts. They have to be fitted to each other. If you change one or two parts you will change how all of them interact. Changing a hammer will affect the sear and the thumb safety. Changing a thumb safety will usually result in a pistol that either won't go on safe or will go on yet still fire if dropped. It's not rocket science but if you don't understand how all of it works together you can get into trouble fairly quickly. Read some books until you see how this all works. As said above it's not hard to do but you HAVE to know where to file and stone and how much. Exactly how much. And how to function check what you just changed. Sure, there's LOTS of folks out there selling "drop in" parts and every one of them will come in a package with a warning to the effect of "requires fitting by a knowledgeable gunsmith and we're not responsible for anything". "drop in" is just a marketing term. If you want a reliable safe firearm you need to entrust the work to someone who knows how to do it right. I tell you this as an retired smith who doesn't want to see you get into trouble.
