My CMP garand was clean, clean, clean.
Factory ammo can ruin an expensive OP rod.
The safe bet is surplus from CMP(also the cheapest) and ".30-06 Garand" specific ammo.
Beware any other advise. One round of the wrong ammo with a plug adjusted incorrect could bend your OP rod. Also beware advise from the internet.
