You're right. It appears that they're shifting the battleground to the states.
Of course,
McDonald incorporated the
Heller provisions against the states, so these laws are ripe fodder for a lawsuit. While it's little consolation to the residents of affected states in the immediate future, at least the damage will be relatively confined while we proceed with litigation.
