I just found out today that four of the five sheaths for my various
large lockback knives and multitools fit 1911 magazines perfectly
and they are designed to be worn on belts as holsters for these
tools. Go to Smokey Mountain Knifeworks and do search
for just the word "sheaths" All of the knives they sell there
they describe how long they are when folded. I found 4 7/8 or
5 inch or longer knives fit the Govt 1911 magazines perfectly.

They sell the sheaths separately made out of nylon, canvas
and leather for from 99 cents to $8 each. WOW. plus
they most of the time are embossed with the name of the
knife or multitool to help with our conceal carry.

This will be the best thing you learned today I guarantee :-)

I now have mag carriers in leather and nylon with the words
CASE, Schrade, Winchester and Marble written or stamped
on them. PERFECT !
