I had a similar issue with my Model 70 Coyote in 7mm WSM. I took it to the local Winchester repair shop and they said they found small pieces of metal inside that were causing the issue. I have no idea how to help you dig into it and correct the problem yourself. Just offering my experience with a similar problem. Good luck
